A wonderful picturesque location. Relax and unwind in the spacious bed & breakfast holiday accommodation, with the option of evening "Table d'hôte" dinner, there by offering you the choice to dine at L'Ancienne Bergerie, having had a fulfilling day.

We have a passion for cuisine and ingredients, having trained as a chef and gardener, we have explored and savored the local cuisine and the "artisan" products of the area. With the variety of local produce, accompanied with seasonal wild  food from a plentiful harvest and our own homegrown kitchen garden fruit and vegetables, we are delighted to serve you dinner at L'Ancienne Bergerie.

We are ideally situated for those of you who enjoy walking & hiking in the higher mountains, or local valley walks, with the pilgrim route "chemin de Saint Jacques" passing only 100 metres away. We are able to provide you with maps and route suggestions for different fitness levels. Or be our guests to relax in comfort without setting a foot off the premises.

Spring and summer offer you a wide variety of mountain flora fauna and wildlife, for enthusiasts to enjoy and identify, also further activities of cycling and enjoying the Tour de France, which regularly passes along the D618 in our valley. Or a refreshing swim at Castillion's open air pool, a 10 minute drive down the valley.

Winter and spring gives you the opportunity to explore the mountains using "raquettes" (snow shoes), taking a slower pace; also cross country and downhill skiing at the local ski resorts of Le Mourtis (1350m to 1860m altitude) 40 mins, Guzet (1400m altitude) 1 hour 10 mins, Peyragudes (1600m to 2400m altitude) 1 hour 30 mins.

During the winter months L'Ancienne Bergerie is heated by a wood burning stove situated in the living room, which also supplies central heating through out the Bergerie.

Books, board games, playing cards, DVD player and internet  are at your disposal.

L'Ancienne Bergerie is situated in the quiet "Hameau le Chateau", a 10 minute walk below the picturesque village of Galey, where there is a bar, tabac & restaurant.
